Camaro 6 Exterior Dimensions

Found these numbers published based on the first batch of Camaro 6 spy shots...

Wheelbase: 109.32" vs 112.3" of the 5th gen.
Overall length: 186.88" vs 190.4" of the 5th gen.
Length of door: 54.97" vs 56.5" of the 5th gen

Not bad, good to see the size difference between the 6th and 5th generation camaro like this. Are there any side by side photo's of both?

So its getting smaller instead of bigger. Thank gosh. The last Camaro was really pushing it in terms of its size IMO.

Well Alpha is a smaller platform so yes. Keep in mind these are not official. They were determined by using the spy shots with the impala next to the 6 at Milford...

Just because its a smaller platform doesn't necessarily mean the vehicle will be smaller though. The body work and everything could end up making it bigger possibly. Isn't that right?

yes its possible you're right, but the goal has always been to bring the Camaro down to Mustang sized proportions. Right now its been sharing its platform with a full size sedan. If you get the chance to see a Camaro and Mustang side by side IRL you'll see the differences clearly

I believe it is Chevy's goal to downsize the Camaro and the Chevrolet SS for it's next generation, both being on the alpha platform.
